Pop star Katy Perry made a bold fashion statement at Vogue World: Paris Sunday by hitting the runway in a barely-there archival Noir Kei Ninomiya dress. The 39-year-old singer turned heads in the revealing black dress with strategically placed cut-outs, leading a marching band in the geometric ensemble detailed with soft pink and black tulle. Sporting lace-up black boot heels and slicked-back black hair, Perry exuded confidence as she strutted her stuff.
During the event, Perry received tips on her walk from fellow celebrities FKA Twigs and Cara Delevingne. The “Dark Horse” singer’s new single, “Woman’s World,” is set to debut on July 11, with a new album following 2020’s “Smile.” Perry recently signed off from “American Idol” after seven seasons as a judge to focus on her music career.
Other stars in attendance at the event included Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Serena Williams, and Ciara. The show paired different sports with specific decades in French fashion, taking inspiration from the 1920s. Vogue World has previously been held in New York and London, showcasing the intersection of fashion and entertainment.
Performances from Bad Bunny and French singer-songwriter Aya Nakumura added to the glamour of the event. With a star-studded guest list and stunning fashion displays, Vogue World: Paris was a celebration of creativity and style.
