Douglas resident facing charges in Sunday’s deadly rollover collision


A tragic fatal crash occurred on Sunday, 6/23, on WY 91, west of Douglas, Wyoming. Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle rollover crash involving a 2017 Chevrolet 3500 and a 2017 Ford Edge. The driver of the Chevrolet crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Ford Edge. The Ford Edge driver, 32-year-old Justine Crouch of Douglas, was injured and transported to Denver by life flight, along with a juvenile in the backseat. Unfortunately, another juvenile in the front passenger seat of the Ford Edge died at the scene. The Chevrolet driver, 43-year-old Wesley Kersey also of Douglas, refused medical treatment and has been charged with serious offenses including Aggravated Vehicular Homicide and Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

All individuals involved are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the importance of safe and responsible driving. The Wyoming Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash, which serves as a sobering reminder to always prioritize safety on the road.
