New Report by National Safety Council Highlights Technology Solutions for Preventing Worker Injuries and Saving Lives

The National Safety Council’s Work to Zero initiative has released a new report, Safety Technology 2024, which examines trends in technology solutions used to reduce serious injuries and fatalities in the workplace. Following initial research in 2020, the initiative reexamined workplace hazards and the use of innovative technology to mitigate risks. The report highlights the increased exposure to risks reported by both employers and employees, with fatigue remaining the top risk across industries. Despite challenges like resource constraints and privacy concerns, there has been an increase in technology acceptance and implementation among employers between 2020 and 2023. The report aims to help organizations assess risks, identify technology solutions, and prepare workplaces for implementation to eliminate workplace fatalities through the use of technology.
