“White Dudes for Harris” Raises Over $4 Million During Zoom Fundraiser
Almost 200,000 people, including celebrities Mark Hamill, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Jeff Bridges, gathered for a fundraising Zoom call to support Vice President Harris’s presidential bid. The event, organized by “White Dudes for Harris,” raised over $4 million and saw a diverse group of men expressing enthusiasm for the campaign.
While joking about the lack of diversity on the call, attendees showed support for Harris and her mission for a better future for all families. Organizer Ross Morales Rocketto emphasized the importance of engaging White men who may not align with the MAGA movement.
The event aimed to counter the traditional support that White men have shown for Republican presidential candidates. Despite facing attacks on her gender and racial identity, Harris’s campaign continues to push for inclusivity and freedom for all Americans.
Celebrities like Bridges paid tribute to Black Women for Harris and highlighted the importance of progressive values in the campaign. The fundraising call was not directly affiliated with Harris but raised substantial funds through merchandise sales and matched donations.
Speakers, including Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and actor Bradley Whitford, expressed belief in the momentum of the Harris campaign and called for supporters to energize ahead of the upcoming race. Similar fundraisers have been organized to support Harris’s bid, showcasing the widespread grassroots support for her candidacy.
