Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested in Franklin, Tennessee, following a minor crash. He was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a handgun under the influence, failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision, and implied consent. Cutler allegedly rear-ended another vehicle and attempted to flee the scene after offering the driver $2,000 not to call the police. Police observed Cutler displaying signs of intoxication, and he refused to perform a field sobriety test. He was taken into custody, and a blood search warrant was obtained. During a search of his car, a rifle and loaded handgun were found. Cutler was released on bond with the condition that he does not drive without an ignition interlock device or while under the influence. Cutler, known for his NFL career with the Chicago Bears, was married to reality TV star Kristin Cavallari and appeared on the show “Very Cavallari.” The couple shares three children together. Cutler’s representative did not respond to a request for comment on the incident.
