“Saturday Night Live” took inspiration from the recent campaign events where Kamala Harris faced off against Fox News anchor Bret Baier in a heated interview, and President Donald Trump danced at a town hall. In the SNL sketch, Maya Rudolph played Harris, reaching out to young voters on TikTok and poking fun at Baier’s interruptions. James Austin Johnson portrayed Trump, portraying him as both praising and criticizing America. Harris criticized Trump for leaving supporters stranded at a rally, while Dana Carvey played Biden, with Rudolph’s Harris saying she would be a better president. The sketch also poked fun at Trump’s dancing at a town hall where he made song requests and danced for over 30 minutes. Hosted by Michael Keaton and featuring Billy Eilish as the musical guest, “SNL” continues to satirize current events in a comedic light. The show airs on NBC, which is also the parent company of NBC News.
