However, a CNN investigation revealed that the company behind the watches, TheBestWatchesOnEarth LLC, is based in Wyoming, raising questions about the Swiss origins of the watches.
The company, registered by a Wyoming-based attorney, has ties to other Trump-branded products, including sneakers and honey products. The attorney, Mark Pierce, stated that customers should be cautious when purchasing products with connections to Trump. Watch enthusiasts have expressed doubts about the quality of Trump’s watches, with some calling them “cheap stuff” and questioning the legitimacy of the components used in the watches.
One of the most expensive watches, the $100,000 Victory Tourbillon, features a movement that may not be entirely Swiss-made, according to watch commentators. Additionally, one of the watches, the “Fight Fight Fight” model, includes an image of Trump that is copyrighted by the Associated Press, leading to potential legal issues for the company.
Despite the controversies surrounding the watches, the Trump watch site has a disclaimer stating that the actual products received may differ from those advertised. As questions about the origins and quality of the watches persist, only time will tell if the Trump watches will be a success in the luxury watch market.
