Paige Lauterwasser of the Wyoming Cowgirls has been named the Mountain West’s Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in leading her team to victory over Air Force and New Mexico. This is Lauterwasser’s first career honor and Wyoming’s first Offensive Player of the Week nod since last season.
During the week, Lauterwasser averaged 4.13 kills and 4.63 points per set while hitting .338. In the win against Air Force, she had 19 kills and 21 points, and against New Mexico, she recorded 14 kills and 16 points. Lauterwasser’s impressive offensive display earned her the recognition as the top offensive player in the conference for the week.
The Cowgirls, led by Lauterwasser, are currently in the middle of a four-match homestand and will face off against San Diego State on Thursday in their next game at 6:30 p.m. Lauterwasser’s stellar performance has been instrumental in Wyoming’s success, and her recognition as Offensive Player of the Week highlights her impact and contribution to the team.
