Wyoming quarterback Kaden Anderson has been named the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week by fans after leading the Cowboys to a 49-45 victory over New Mexico. Anderson, a Southlake, Texas native, made his first career start and threw for an impressive 342 passing yards, the most by a Cowboy since 2015. He also threw for three touchdowns and added a rushing score, helping the team accumulate a season-high 604 yards and their highest point total since 2021.
The Manning Award, created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004, honors the college football achievements of Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that takes bowl performances into account. This season, Anderson is one of 61 quarterbacks recognized by the award.
The Cowboys will have a bye week before facing off against Colorado State in the Border War on November 15 in Fort Collins. Fans and teammates alike are excited to see what Anderson will bring to the field next.
