U.S. Senator John Barrasso from Wyoming traveled to the Middle East to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Wyoming National Guard’s 2nd Battalion, 300th Field Artillery Forward, who are on a field artillery mission in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. Barrasso expressed his gratitude for the soldiers’ service and made sure to let them know that people back home are proud of them. More than 360 Wyomingites are currently serving in the region, representing 23 hometowns in the UAE and 40 hometowns in Kuwait. Barrasso engaged with the troops, holding a town hall meeting, sharing stories of their families and the state of Wyoming, and touring the military bases. He also shouted out a Wyoming slogan with the soldiers and was briefed on Middle East operations by military officials. The visit was an opportunity for Barrasso to show support and appreciation for the soldiers who are far from home during the holiday season. It was an honor and privilege for him to spend Thanksgiving with the troops and express gratitude for their dedication to defending the nation and preserving freedom. This gesture underscores the importance of recognizing and honoring the sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform.
