Arnold’s charisma and talent graced the stage in numerous productions, including “A Christmas Carol,” and his sudden death was described as a profound loss to his family, friends, fellow actors, and the Edmonton community. The cause of death has not been disclosed, but Arnold experienced a medical emergency while on stage playing the roles of Marley and Mr. Fezziwig.
Paramedics were called to the theatre, but despite resuscitation attempts, Arnold passed away at the scene. The Citadel Theatre has asked for privacy for Arnold’s family and expressed their appreciation for the love and support they have received. In honor of Arnold’s memory, the Citadel Theatre announced that this season’s run of “A Christmas Carol” will be dedicated to him.
