The Cowboys tallied a season-high 604 total yards, with 262 rushing yards and 342 passing yards. Quarterback Kaden Anderson had a standout game with 342 passing yards and three touchdowns, while running back Harrison Waylee rushed for 170 yards in his return to the lineup.
Notably, Wyoming kicker John Hoyland set a new school record with 346 career points, surpassing the previous mark of 342 points. The Cowboy defense also shined, with safety Isaac White registering eight tackles to surpass 200 career tackles and nickel Wrook Brown returning an interception for a touchdown. The win marked Wyoming’s highest yardage total since 2021.
On the offensive side, besides Anderson and Waylee, running back Jamari Ferrell scored his second career touchdown, tight end John Michael Gyllenborg added a touchdown reception, and wide receiver Jaylen Sargent had a career-high 186 receiving yards. The victory improved the Cowboys’ all-time record against New Mexico to 42-35, with the team now looking ahead to a Border War matchup against Colorado State on November 15.
