Alicia Smith is appointed as the chair of Laramie County School District #1 board in the State


Alicia Smith has been appointed as the new Chair of the Laramie County School District #1 board of trustees, leading the board in their administrative duties. She will be the final decision maker in the event of a tie vote. Other newly appointed positions include Christy Klaassen as Vice Chair, Brooke Humphrey as Clerk, Rene Hinkle as Assistant Clerk, Brittany Ashby as Treasurer, and Marilyn Burden as Assistant Treasurer. Smith expressed her gratitude for being chosen as Board Chairwoman and is eager to continue serving the students, families, and staff of LCSD1. Having been on the board since 2020, Smith is starting her second term after previously serving as Board Clerk. Her main goal is to keep moving the school district in a positive direction. The new leadership team is dedicated to working together to ensure the success and improvement of Laramie County School District #1.
