Albany County’s three Democratic representatives, Karlee Provenza, Trey Sherwood, and Ken Chestek, have emerged victorious in the 2025 Wyoming House elections. Despite facing Republican challengers and enduring negative attack ads, the Democratic trio secured their seats with Provenza winning by over a thousand votes. With only six Democrats in the House next year, Provenza emphasized the need for her party to focus on offering solutions and highlighting the harmful effects of bills they cannot prevent. She acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed eagerness and honor in fulfilling her duties in Cheyenne. In a contrasting victory, Albany County’s Ocean Andrew, a Republican incumbent in a predominantly conservative district, also secured reelection with a significant majority.
In Senate District 10, encompassing Sherwood and Andrew’s House Districts, voters elected Republican Gary Crum, a newcomer to Wyoming politics, by a wide margin. The political landscape in Albany County reflects a diverse mix of Republican and Democratic representation, setting the stage for collaboration and negotiation in the upcoming legislative sessions.
