Casper, Wyoming mourns the loss of two well-loved community members, Alan DePoorter and Jon Lantz. Alan, a passionate heavy machinery operator and sports enthusiast, passed away at the age of 66, leaving behind a legacy of love for baseball and fishing. His family, including his parents, siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews, will miss him dearly. Jon, a marksmanship champion and former Air Force survival instructor, lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 80. Survived by his daughter Jennifer and sister Maralene, Jon will be remembered for his love of skydiving, water skiing, and work in the oil field. Both men will be honored in funeral services in Casper, with donations to the Tunnel of Towers Foundation in Alan’s memory and to Central Wyoming Hospice or the Casper Humane Society in Jon’s memory. The community is invited to gather to pay their respects and celebrate the lives of Alan and Jon, who have left a lasting impact on those who knew them.
