Skiers and snowboarders are in luck this holiday season with plenty of snowfall in the Big Horn Mountains at Meadowlark Ski Lodge and Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area. Meadowlark Ski Lodge is now open with most trails available for visitors to enjoy. Co-owner Holli Jones is hopeful for a great season after a tough year last year with lack of snow. The lodge offers a variety of amenities, including a full restaurant and rental shop with new equipment. Meadowlark is open daily through Jan. 5, resuming a regular schedule after that. Beyond winter sports, the lodge is available for events such as weddings and corporate meetings during the off-season.
Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area is also open for the season with a focus on safety and spreading out crowds on the open trails. General Manager John DeVivo notes upgrades to the rental shop and an increase in rental inventory this year. The resort offers programs for kids and free season passes, signaling a unique approach within the industry. Antelope Butte has a holiday schedule in place and is introducing a new ‘Apre-ski’ entertainment series on Saturdays. The resort is also available for venue bookings during the off-season.
Overall, both Meadowlark Ski Lodge and Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area are providing exciting winter sports opportunities for visitors this holiday season, with a range of amenities and programs for all ages and abilities. Updates and additional information can be found on the respective websites for each resort.
