Banner Health Donates $1.5 Million to WYO Sports Ranch in Casper
CASPER, Wyo. – Banner Health has announced a generous donation of $1.5 million to the WYO Sports Ranch, a new 130,000-square-foot facility in Casper. Described as a state-of-the-art space for competition, training, and events, the facility will be open year-round to serve the community.
As part of the donation, the sports performance center within the WYO Sports Ranch will be named the Banner Health Sports Performance Center. This 2,000-square-foot space will be equipped with top-quality industry equipment to help young athletes learn the importance of performance training in a safe and supervised environment.
According to a press release, proper education on form related to various sports and movements is essential for preventing injuries in young athletes. The WYO Sports Ranch will feature six permanent basketball courts and a turf field, with the ability to overlay more courts for larger tournaments. The facility is set to open in January 2025.
Banner Wyoming Medical Center’s CEO, Lance Porter, expressed excitement about contributing to the progress of Casper and surrounding communities through this donation. Luke Gilliam, executive director at WYO Complex, also expressed gratitude for Banner Health’s investment in the WYO Sports Ranch, believing it will enhance how young athletes and families are served throughout the state.
