The University of Wyoming Athletics Department has announced its participation in the upcoming WYO Sports Ranch Festival on March 1-2. The event will feature camps with instruction from Cowboy and Cowgirl student-athletes from football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball teams. UW Director of Athletics, Tom Burman, expressed pride in the partnership with WYO Sports Ranch and highlighted the opportunity to engage with youth in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain region. Participants will have the chance to learn from student-athletes and interact with them following the sessions.
The festival will feature sessions with football, volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams on March 1 and 2. More information about the schedule will be released closer to the event. The WYO Sports Ranch, a 130,000 square foot indoor sports complex, aims to host youth and amateur sports tournaments and events, providing a state-of-the-art facility for the community.
With an 18-month construction timeline, the grand opening of the WYO Sports Ranch is set for January 23, transforming youth athletics in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain region. The complex includes basketball and volleyball courts, indoor turf, a sports performance center, and other amenities to promote a healthy lifestyle for youth year-round. The facility is located in Casper, Wyoming, at the northeast corner of the Ford Wyoming Center.
