Cowboys gearing up for Tuesday’s spring practice kickoff

The University of Wyoming football team is gearing up for spring practice, with head coach Jay Sawvel preparing his team for a successful season. With key veterans returning on both offense and defense, the Cowboys are looking to build on last season’s success. Quarterback Kaden Anderson, tight end John Michael Gyllenborg, and a strong group of running backs and receivers will lead the offense, while defensive standouts Tyce Westland, Ben Florentine, and Keany Parks anchor the defense.

Coach Sawvel has added 40 new players to the team, including transfers from various college football programs. The team will have open practices for fans to attend, with a youth football clinic scheduled for April 5. The Cowboys will also host their spring game on April 26 at War Memorial Stadium.

In addition, Sawvel has brought in three new coaches to the staff, including former Cowboy Jovon Bouknight as wide receivers coach. With a combination of experienced returners and talented newcomers, Wyoming is poised to continue their strong performance on the field. As the team kicks off spring practice, fans are eager to see what the upcoming season will bring for the Brown and Gold.
