Despite the arrival of spring, winter weather continues to impact sports schedules in some areas, including Sheridan. The upcoming games for the Sheridan High School baseball team include matchups against Thunder Basin, Campbell County, and Worland. In the Northeast quadrant, Thunder Basin holds a 3-0 record with an overall record of 13-2, followed by Sheridan at 1-1 in quadrant games and 6-5-1 overall. In the Northwest quadrant, Kelly Walsh and Cody each have a 1-0 record, while in the Southeast quadrant, Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East are both at 2-1. Laramie, Rock Springs, and Green River hold 2-1 records in the Southwest quadrant.
Last week’s scores included Wheatland defeating Cheyenne Central 13-8, Thunder Basin topping Campbell County 8-6, and Kelly Walsh beating Natrona County 15-5. Some games had to be postponed due to weather, including matchups between Worland and Sheridan, Wheatland and Torrington, and Cody and Natrona County. Despite the challenges posed by winter’s persistence, teams are continuing to compete and adjust their schedules accordingly. Fans are encouraged to stay updated on any changes to game times and locations.
