More than 100 Undocumented Immigrants Detained at Colorado ‘Underground Nightclub,’ According to DEA

During a recent raid on an “underground nightclub” in Colorado, approximately 114 undocumented immigrants were detained following a months-long investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The operation took place in the early hours after law enforcement surrounded the club, which appeared to operate within a strip mall. DEA Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen revealed that the establishment was allegedly a hub for drug trafficking, prostitution, and violent crimes. During the raid, agents seized firearms, drugs—including cocaine—and arrested several patrons, some with active state warrants.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi indicated a small number of those detained had warrants related to serious crimes, including potential gang affiliations with Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua and MS-13. Although organized crime was suspected, the DEA did not confirm any murder accusations among the detainees. The investigation reflects ongoing national efforts to address illegal immigration and associated gang violence, a priority highlighted by President Trump, who shared footage of the raid and claimed it targeted dangerous criminals.

Concerns have arisen from advocates and civil liberties groups about large-scale immigration roundups. The Colorado Rapid Response Network advised family members of those detained to remain silent, avoid signing documents, and request legal representation. One partygoer, Jose Dominguez, recalled being handcuffed while his immigration status was verified, only to be released later with little explanation. The incident underscores the complexities surrounding undocumented immigration and law enforcement’s role in targeting criminal activities linked to it.
