Natrona County Sees Drop in Gas Prices Amid National Stability

CASPER, Wyo. — While the national average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline has remained steady at $3.10, Natrona County drivers are enjoying a decrease, with prices falling to $2.95 per gallon, the lowest in Wyoming for four consecutive weeks.

According to GasBuddy data, the national average has decreased by 3.8 cents over the past month, marking a 52.6-cent decline year-over-year. Diesel prices have also edged down, now averaging $3.499 per gallon across the U.S.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, noted the mixed bag of price changes across the country, with half of the states experiencing declines and the other half seeing increases. He anticipates that the national average will remain within the $3.10 to $3.20 range in the coming week.

In Wyoming, the average gasoline price stands at $3.13, a 2-cent decrease from the previous week. Laramie County’s prices fell to $2.97, overtaking Goshen County for the state’s second cheapest gas.

The lowest fuel in Natrona County can be found at Ridley’s Family Market, priced at $2.83. Factors influencing oil prices include potential U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations and OPEC’s production adjustments, with current oil prices hovering in the low $60s per barrel.

As the market stabilizes, consumers can expect to see continued price shifts in both gasoline and diesel in the days ahead.
