Casper Poised for a Spectacular College National Finals Rodeo Experience
Casper, Wyoming – In just over a month, Casper will host one of the summer’s most anticipated events—the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR). This year marks a special highlight, as Wyo Sports Ranch will debut "The Mercantile," a vibrant trade show running concurrently with the rodeo festivities.
Kendra Ziler, Marketing Director for the Ford Wyoming Center, emphasizes, "CNFR is so much more than just a rodeo. It is a whole week of experience." For roughly 25 years, Casper has welcomed the collegiate rodeo championship, and the addition of The Mercantile aims to enhance the community atmosphere.
While the Ford Wyoming Center has traditionally hosted a trade show, The Mercantile will introduce a complementary shopping experience. "There’s such cool shopping, leatherwork, clothing, Cinch, all kinds of neat things," Ziler noted. The idea to host The Mercantile is a heartfelt initiative from the Wyo Sports Ranch staff, aiming to enrich the rodeo environment and give back to the community.
Jessica Hastings, Treasurer for the Wyo Complex Board, highlights the scale of The Mercantile with 130,000 square feet dedicated to vendor spaces, activities, and engagement opportunities. "We’re creating another event to generate excitement for CNFR week, which Wyoming greatly appreciates," she said. Expect 150 vendors from near and far, alongside party zones, a cowboy camp, a mechanical bull, and a variety of food options.
