Mads Mikkelsen Dines at UYARE Leeds: A Star-Studded Culinary Experience
Leeds, UK – This weekend, UYARE, the premier rooftop South Indian restaurant and bar, had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Hollywood star Mads Mikkelsen, famed for his roles in "Hannibal," "Casino Royale," and "Another Round." Accompanied by Oscar-winning editor-turned-director Lee Smith and renowned producer Pascal Degove, the trio discussed their latest project, "Sirus" — an anticipated thriller set to captivate audiences globally.
While the cinema industry eagerly awaits updates on "Sirus," the UYARE team ensured that Mikkelsen and his associates were treated to a memorable culinary experience. The evening began with an array of tantalizing South Indian starters, featuring Masala Fried Cauliflower, crispy Fried Fish, and the beloved Kanthari Chicken, which is distinguished by its spicy green chilli marinade.
For the main course, Mikkelsen indulged in the Pothu Koonu Masala (a decadent buffalo curry), Kunjaadu Curry (spiced lamb from Kerala), and Chemmeen Roast (a spicy king prawn dish), all served alongside flaky Kerala Parathas and sweet Carrot Coconut Rice. He complemented his meal with a classic Cobra Beer, later describing the experience as “truly unforgettable.”
In a heartwarming moment, Mikkelsen thanked chefs Ajith Kumar and Francis, expressing his appreciation to the entire kitchen team and capturing cheerful selfies with them.
UYARE has recently garnered considerable attention, previously hosting cricket stars during the India vs. England test match. However, Mikkelsen’s visit marks a highlight for the restaurant, known for offering exceptional service to both local patrons and A-list visitors. As word spreads about UYARE’s stunning views and elevated South Indian cuisine, it is quickly becoming Leeds’ go-to dining destination for all.
